This article assumes you have already read how to create an Asset and how to populate an Asset articles.

Summary

A Simple Map Refset is used when a cross-reference to a code used in another classification is created (e.g. when linking a Snomed CT code to a LOINC code).

Simple Map Refsets can be edited through the Asset Library module in termSpace.

Step-by-step guide

Populating an Asset

In order to add a mappings, an Asset must be first populated with members. Check our article on Adding Members to an Asset.
 

Mapping Asset members to simple codes

Once you added members to the Asset, those member can be mapped to a simple code provided by the user.

  1. Select your Simple Map asset and click on the “Open Asset” button.

  2. The Refset Panel on the left will let you set a mapping target on each Asset member. Just click on the “Change this” section to input the desired target value.

Mapping Asset members to other terminologies

termSpace allows you to upload another terminology as a Code System. Before starting to map, you will need to upload the terminology through the Admin panel - Code Systems section.

  1. Once the Code System is successfully loaded, you will be able to link it to the asset using the Linked Code System dropdown in the Preview Panel.

Now click on the “Open Asset button”.

  1. The Refset Panel on the left will let you set a mapping target on each Asset member. Just click on the “Change this” section and you will be able to select a code from the target Terminology.


Refset Synchronization


Warning: At this point members were added to the asset, but you will need to synchronize them with the correspondant Refset for the changes to be published in the next Terminology Release. Click here for more info on Refset Synchronization.
